Marcus Delgado launched Reno Insulation in 2019 after several years working as a field installer for a regional insulation company in northern Nevada. The frustration was straightforward: too many Reno homeowners were getting proposals that ignored how the city actually behaves. At 4,500 feet of elevation, with 40-degree daily temperature swings and wildfire smoke seasons that drive fine particles straight through leaky attics, a generic national insulation spec is not good enough.
Starting with a single crew and a focus on the pre-1980 homes concentrated in Midtown and the Old Southwest, Reno Insulation built a reputation on doing the job right rather than doing it fast. That meant pulling permits through the City of Reno Building and Safety Division or Washoe County Building Division depending on the address, passing rough-in inspections, and recommending only what each home actually needed, not what carried the highest margin.
Reno has grown considerably since 2019. Thousands of people relocate here each year, many of them coming from climates that did not prepare them for a Truckee Meadows winter or a Sierra Nevada summer. Reno Insulation now serves 12 communities across northern Nevada and the greater Tahoe region. The checklist Marcus Delgado built in year one has not changed: right material for the conditions, correct permit for the jurisdiction, clean site at the end of every day.

Insulation work is dusty and disruptive. We contain the mess, clean up before we leave, and make sure your home looks the same as when we arrived, except better insulated.
Nevada contractor license status is public record. Verify any contractor at the Nevada State Contractors Board before signing anything.
Required by the Nevada State Contractors Board under NAC Chapter 624 for any spray polyurethane foam installation valued at $1,000 or more. License status is verifiable in real time at the NSCB public portal.
